Open project expenses

What you’ll need

  • The official project record or rubric for this species
  • Dated weights or measurements that the official record requests
  • Receipts grouped by the categories used in that record
  • Current show, ownership, entry, and record-book instructions

A general project expense row

  • July 6: entry fee
  • Category: show expense
  • Amount: $15.00
  • Source: receipt kept with project papers

Use labels from the official record. Do not force the project into a beef, swine, sheep, goat, poultry, or rabbit category that does not apply.

Questions for your advisor

  • Which official record or rubric applies to this species and project type?
  • Should each animal have a separate record?
  • Which measurements, expenses, health records, and results are required?
